Conservation of the environment
This Project is operated by a local family that has done everything to defend and to preserve nature and the environment.
The Dauga family understood that - despite political resistance – the best way to protect against rampant urbanization is the development of sustainable tourism around our natural heritage, with a special focus on the preservation of our rich flora and fauna.
At l’Airial du Seignanx we are very proud to say that we preserved 90% of the adult pine trees. We accomplished this feat thanks to professional ground and soil relief studies and taking in account the sun orientation which helped pick the best place for each lodging.
No concrete or tar is used to cover the paths, just gravel. It goes without saying that cars only occupy a minimum of space in this project.
In order to keep the resort as ‘natural as possible’ it is one open-space with just some fences made out of plants. The concept of the ‘Inhabited Forest’.
